Our theme for this year is, “Swing into Action” Our theme verse this year is John 9:4, “We must do the work of him who sent me.” This verse reminds us that whatever work we are called to do we are never asked to do it alone for God is always with us and will help us complete it. We must do the work of the Lord, the tasks he sets before us, both school work as well as the work of making disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19). We want our work to be a reflection of who we are in Christ. Therefore we should work hard but not forget the most important job we have which is to light the way for others to see Christ.

In the resource room this year you will find a room full of swinging monkeys! There are vines and bananas all the way around the room. Each student has a monkey with their name on it. For every 60 minutes of reading or other homework they do, they will get to move their monkey to the next banana on the vine. It is our goal to make it completely around the room before the end of the year.

Once again this year we are excited to join forces with the Christian Learning Center (CLC)! The CLC is a wonderful organization made up of many special educators who work together as a team to provide support, wisdom and resources to schools and families throughout the midwest.
